CHRISTMAS 10K - SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
The Christmas 10K Swim is WA's premier 10km Rottnest qualifying swim - enjoyed by more than double the number of swimmers of any other 10km race in WA because of its unique approach of "swimmers first" and a focus on creating an event "by swimmers for swimmers".
Our 10km swimmers are offered a long 3.4km circuit and this event is the only one in WA where swimmers can be accompanied by their own personal support paddlers for the full 10km of the race - the best possible preparation and practice for a Rottnest swim crossing!
But it is not just a 10km qualifier, the Christmas 10K Swim is also now firmly established as a fun and enjoyable community event which takes place at Coogee Beach on the Saturday before Christmas offering two shorter distances to challenge community swimmers of all abilities:
- Port Coogee Santa's Lap (3.4km)
- City of Cockburn Merry Mile (1600m)
We expect to reach capacity in all events as we have done in previous years, so save the date(s) and ensure you register early.
This year we have also have a contingency date on Sunday 22 December which will only be activated if the weather forecast is unfavourable and a decision is made that it is unsafe to go ahead with the event on Saturday 21 December.
Please make sure you save both dates although we're hoping for perfect conditions on Saturday 21!

The Fremantle Ports 10km Challenge is an approved qualifier for your Rottnest Channel or Port to Pub solo swim.
Come along and join the most popular 10km qualifier in WA at the perfect location of Coogee Beach and at the perfect time, a week before Christmas. Your official time will automatically be recognised and forwarded to your designated event manager.
Like no other 10km race in WA, all swimmers in the Fremantle Ports 10km Challenge have the option of swimming alongside their own personal support paddler for the entire course.

Great for moral support as well as the best opportunity for feeding practice, hydration and in-race communication with your paddler.

This year's event will once again be offering shorter races for community and club swimmers so challenge yourself by taking part in the Port Coogee Santa's Lap (3.4km) or the City of Cockburn Merry Mile (1600m).
Ideal for anyone looking for some pre-Christmas exercise which gives you a good excuse to enjoy the Christmas festivities, eat, drink and be merry and wind down afterwards (maybe) with a few days off?!
Ocean Swim Packs
Successfully introduced to the swimming community at the 2021 event, Sportzcorp's Ocean Swim Pack will again be on sale through the C10K event.

Based on our own Rottnest solo experiences, this Ocean Swim Pack is the perfect combination of essential items to help you with your long distance swimming needs before, during and after your 10km and Rottnest races.
This great value pack includes a 5L dry bag, Fiski goggles, tub of Ocean Grease and a smorgasbord of other items you'll use before, during and after your swim.

C10K & Friends of the Community Helping Others
This year, the Christmas 10K is proud to be supporting the amazing work of Cockburn-based charity Friends of the Comunity Inc.
Make a donation to FOC through the online registration process or drop off goods at the race day Collection Point.

All donations will provide much-needed funds towards the cost of FOC's numerous programs which help those in need in our community. FOC also provides direct funding assistance to students, the aged, disabled, disadvantaged and the homeless within our local community.
